Sawsan Darwaza
Bio.
Sawsan Darwaza is an award-winning theater, film director, and producer who chooses to evolve her work organically as she explores new spaces on the stage and the screen. Sawsan started her filmmaking career when she introduced audiovisual media in her theatre work. The intermingling between film and theater offers her audiences new experiences, enabling her to venture into new ways of action and interaction, moving both mind and soul.
Currently, Sawsan Darwaza is co-founder and worker at Ma3mal 612-Think Factory and producer, founder & director of the “Karama Human Rights Film Festival” since 2010. In addition, she is president of the Jordan Center of the International Theater Institute, CEO at Mir’at Media Productions which merged with Ma3mal612 Productions, and chairman of Naseej Foundation – Resources for Community Youth Development in the Arab World.
Sawsan has created, directed, and reduced several screen productions. For her documentary ‘Borderlands’, she received the Award for Best Short Documentary at the International EcoFilm Festival Greece, the Award for Best Short Documentary at AMAL film festival in Santiago Spain, and Special Jury Mention at Al Jazira Documentary Festival 2008.
EHAB AL-KHATIB

Bio.
Currently, Ehab is co-founder and worker at Ma3mal 612- Think Factory, in an initiative to develop cinema and film projects and create alternative methods for producing. In addition, Ehab is co-founder and artistic director/curator of Karama Human Rights Film Festival – Jordan, which is a project within Ma3mal 612-Think Factory.
Ehab received the Bronze Award for his short fiction film ‘’Letters of the Sea’’ at the Ismailia Film Festival, in 1992.

Bio.
Ashraf is also an experienced corporate communications professional. Though based in Dubai, his remit covers a wide range of markets in the GCC, Levant and Egypt. His passion lies in writing, cinema, music and anything on two wheels.
DR. TARIQ RIMAWI
ANIMATION DIRECTOR AND SCREENWRITER
Bio.
Since then his shorts have been screened at more than 180 international film festivals and received 15 awards. In 2016, Tariq established the Animation & Multimedia Department at the University of Petra. With his engagement in education and creating jobs for animation artists, he wants to show the potential of Arab artists and stories and put Jordan on the map of animation production countries.

Bio.
Dr. Amawi holds an MA and Ph.D. from Georgetown University, specializing in Comparative Politics and Political Economy. She is the author of many books and articles on political economy theories, issues of democracy, civil society and gender.

Bio.
Bardawil produced several TV shows including the animation of the first Palestinian version of Sesame Street. He co-founded and chaired the Palestinian Ma’an TV network; a network of 10 local TV stations and co-founded Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Jordan and ANHAR; The Arab Network for Human Rights Films.
